- Ensure all the budgets; forecasts and cost commitments are produced efficiently to a high standard in line with requirements.
- Support team members with re-forecasting and estimating activities to complete project cost forecasts (trending).
- Assist with the entry and administration of data into the project controls software system.
- Update and administer the project cash flow forecast.
- Monitor Project performance including costs, progress against schedule and internal reviews to provide a transparent assessment of critical project performances.
- Assist Project Managers in decision making by constantly monitoring budget and expenditure changes, as well as providing regular updates of project status.
- Evaluate project progress to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and deadline objectives.
- Assist with the timely and accurate allocation of budgets to study/project documentation.
- 5+ years' experience in a cost control or related role, ideally with major capital resources sector projects.
- Qualifications in a commerce or engineering discipline is preferred, but not essential.
- Advanced competencies with industry standard software including Microsoft Excel and cost control programmes (CMS & SAP proficiency will be highly regarded).
- Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
