Based in Rydalmere, this locally based large wholesale manufacturer is a key supplier to the retail market and manufacturer a variety of internal and external window coverings products.The successful candidates’ main duties will be to operate an industrial sewing machine to cut and sew fabrics which will then be made into vertical blinds.This role requires you to ensure that all deadlines and production expectations are met and is an ongoing casual role working Monday to Friday 38-hour week with a transition to full time employment after a successful 4-months.Hours of operation
Monday to Thursday 5am – 1.30pm
Friday 5am – 11.30am
Tasks & Responsibilities
Operate an industrial sewing machine - simple straight-line sewing
Handle fabrics i.e.: vertical blades
Assist with the production of vertical blinds
Communicate and work with co-workers effectively
Qualifications & Experience
Industrial sewing experience
To multi-task and work to set deadlines
An excellent eye for detail with a focus on quality
Ability to work unsupervised and communicate clearly
