Are you an immediately available finance leader who is looking to use apply your expertise in leading the finance team in its period of transformation? Let's talk!I'm partnering with a non-for-profit organisation in recruiting for an experienced finance project manager/consultant to assist them in their period of internal transition.The organisation has been servicing the community both locally and overseas via their various programs specifically addressing the needs of the vulnerable.
And this is a very critical role in the business as this supports the ongoing effort in continuing to fulfill their mission of serving the community.This is not your usual business as usual finance role - it will encompass performing gap analysis, conducting historical process review, assessing AS-IS and TO-BE scenarios, implementing processes, procedures and internal controls and finance process engineering.I am looking to speak to candidates who have ideally done the same - someone with technical expertise to understand and translate the numbers, but also someone who is not afraid to have difficult conversations if needed, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get to the end goal.Ultimately, the purpose of the role is to leave the finance department better than how you found it.
It will be challenging yes but more importantly it will also be very rewarding!ABOUT THE ROLEWorking alongside the leadership team, you will be looking after the following:
  • Review financial statements and ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date
  • Perform process and systems review and gap analysis- provide improvement recommendations
  • Develop and execute an action plan on how to implement recommendations provided
  • Map existing processes AS IS and design TO BE processes across finance
  • Action and clear backlog transactions
  • Assist in integrating a business unit in the wider organisation
  • Conduct training to internal team
  • Provide insightful financial, commercial and operational advise to management
  • Lead finance and operational transformation through process and system redesign
ABOUT YOU
  • CA/CPA qualified with experience in similar remit of walking into an environment where changes has to be implemented
  • Not-for-profit experience IDEAL but not a must
  • With demonstrated strong stakeholders management skills
  • Experience is MYOB system is an ADVANTAGE
  • Prior audit experience is a PLUS
  • Immediately available or with short notice period
