Full time, 80 hours per fortnight + monthly ADOAbout the RoleAre you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for an opportunity to work in the health industry? Grampians Health is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in Dimboola and Horsham. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing plant and equipment to provide high quality and accessible health care services to the communities we serve.Key Responsibilities
  • Performing preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment, according the scheduled maintenance plans
  • Troubleshooting and repair equipment breakdowns in a time manner
  • Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
  • Ensuring a safe work environment by following all health and safety protocols
Skills & Experience
Essential:
  • Mechanical, building & joinery, electrical or plumbing aptitude with relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to prioritise and problem solve to work with varying and competing demands
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work in a flexible manner and perform on call, weekends, public holidays and afternoon shift work
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Willingness to have additional training and skill development (includes electrical safety testing and boiler maintenance)
Desirable:
  • Certificate / License or registration in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Automotive or Building trade such as Electrician, Plumber, Fitting & Turning, Welding & Steel Construction, Automotive, Airconditioning and/or experience in construction or general maintenance activities
  • Current Worksafe Licence for High Risk Work
  • Working at heights
  • White card
  • Experience with plant maintenance activities in a large organisation
