Overview:Help shape the health workforce of the future in South Australia.The Claims and Rehabilitation Consultant is accountable to the Manager Work Health Safety and Injury Management and Lead Injury Management for ensuring the provision of a prompt, equitable, effective and efficient and efficient workers compensation claims management service including case management of excess employees, non-work related injuries/illness and rehabilitation services to the Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW). This position sits within the Workforce Services team in DHW and is centrally located within Adelaide CBD.The Workforce Services team are embarking on an exciting journey to develop and implement various initiatives to become a more contemporary and strategic workforce function for the Department and across SA Health. We are looking for skilled professionals wanting to make an impact and help shape the future public health workforce in South Australia, who are excited by the opportunity to deliver high quality services and be part of a reinvigorated Workforce Services team.The Claims and Rehabilitation Consultant will:
  • Work to achieve established targets, key performance indicators and measures of performance, together with the requirements of Audit Verification System, Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment, Return to Work SA and whole of Government strategies.
  • Be responsible for the provision of a consultancy / advisory service to managers / supervisors and employees and for planning and coordinating the rehabilitation and return to work of work injured personnel and placement of excess employees within DHW.
