You will be based at ESMHS, located on the Prince of Wales Hospital campus and will be closely involved with the assessment and management of persons presenting to the ED:
- Experiencing acute mental health symptoms
- Experiencing co-morbid physical and mental health difficulties
- In acute crisis situations requiring a mental health assessment

If you have any questions or would like guidance on the recruitment process, please contact the SESLHD Aboriginal Employment Team via email to:Selection Criteria * Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum 5 years full time equivalent post qualification experience with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in Mental Health with postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels.
- Advance IT skills including high level proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel etc).
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature and to provide senior clinical leadership to a team of CNCs.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
