Senior Home Care Worker – QualifiedChurches of Christ Home Care, Darling DownsPermanent Full-Time OpportunityAbout the roleChurches of Christ are currently looking for caring and reliable Senior Home Care Workers. You will provide compassionate, client-centred care to individuals in their homes with everyday tasks, companionship, medication and social support as well as some office-based responsibilities.While much of your work will take place in the community, there will be times when you’ll contribute to planning and coordination from our office. As a senior team member, you will also be available for on-call support as the need arises, within a 6:30 am – 6:30 pm window, ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care when they need it most.As a Senior Home Care Worker, you will:
Provide friendly companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
Assist with medications and personal cares
Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping.
Support clients with transport to appointments and community activities.
Encourage independence and well-being in a home environment.
Participate in the review of client care plans, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate
Train and mentor Home Care Workers

Is reliable, adaptable and has well developed communication skills
Currently holds the below qualifications
Certificate III in Individual Support or higher
Assist Clients with Medication – HLTHPS006
Recognise Healthy Body Systems – HLTAAP001
Provide Individualised Support – CHCCCS031
Currently holds, or willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR qualification
Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check
A current driver's license
Hold valid Australian Work Rights – Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
A work vehicle will be provided and can be home-garaged for your convenience. In the rare event that you are required to use your personal vehicle, it must be suitable for work-related duties.
