We live and breathe our company values every day by being considerate, passionate, courageous, and making a difference.Job DescriptionWhether you're experienced in the Education or childcare sector, have done some babysitting, this is the first time you're thinking about working with children, or anything in between, THIS is the role for you!Our OSHC service at Stretton State School Helping Hands is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engagement programs for our primary-age children. This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 20 hours per week to assist with leading a team of passionate Educators.As an added recruitment bonus, this role offers $750 as a commencement bonus (paid at 4 weeks in the role) PLUS an additional $750 as a retention bonus (paid at 12 months in role).About the role
Co-managing a team of Educators, you'll have the perfect balance of support and leadership opportunities. You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years, with the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
  • Enjoy working with kids
  • Strong and clear communication
  • Team player with a desire to become a service leader
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
