People with new perspectives, energy and passion to drive Viva Energy and their careers forward.Job DescriptionWe now have a great opportunity at our Kalgoorlie Terminal for a Senior Operator to join our team. This full-time role would suit someone that wants to stay active and has an interest in the petroleum industry.Responsibilities

Overall safety, operation and maintenance of Kalgoorlie Terminal.
Receipt, safe handling and storage of fuel products.
Operational tasks associated with maintenance and product quality including product transfers, product sampling and testing.
Raising maintenance work notifications, work clearances, gas testing, permitting, and Lock out Tag out.
Hot oil systems operations, Interceptor operations and storm water management
Valve, transfer and gantry operations.
Shipping, bunkering, and Rail/Tanker loading/unloading.
Emergency response and incident control.
Preparation and submission of daily stock sheets.
Participation in HSSE assurance activities, audits, emergency response, work insights in the context of maintaining our safety management systems.
Undertaking basic housekeeping duties in relation to operational areas, and work area/site.
Ad hoc audits and interaction with drivers and their fleet vehicles for compliance and safe operations.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills with a positive and flexible attitude.
Strong passion and commitment to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) and confidence to speak up when something isn’t right.
Mechanical aptitude.
People focused, dependable, detail-oriented.
Customer service skills.
Innovative problem-solver who has ability to operate with minimal supervision.
Ability to hold a forklift licence (training will be provided).
Operational or manufacturing environment experience (ideally in the dangerous goods industry) is desirable.
