We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health.Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SA+NT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community.Flinders Rural and Remote Health SA(FRRHSA) facilitates high quality multidisciplinary health education and research in our State's regional areas. We have a strong national and international reputation for providing community-engaged inter-professional training for medical, nursing, and allied health students. This includes the Doctor of Medicine Rural Stream (MDRS) program and multidisciplinary rural clinical placements. Through this practice, we bring new and exciting opportunities to actively engage and work with rural communities.About the RoleThe Finance Officer – Rural and Remote Health provides a broad range of financial services supporting operations across South Australia and the Northern Territory. The role works closely with budget holders to assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, produces accurate financial reports, and supports administrative staff in the use of financial systems.The Finance Officer is also responsible for ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures across Rural and Remote Health, in line with guidance from the supervisor. This position may be located at any of Flinders University’s Rural and Remote Health sites across South Australia and the Northern Territory.About YouTo be successful in this role you will demonstrate:Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and manage priorities under minimal supervision.Relevant tertiary qualification or advanced diploma with substantial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training.Proven experience in preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including analysis and explanatory commentary.Strong attention to detail with proficiency in record keeping, data entry, and spreadsheet management.Familiarity with contemporary finance and administrative systems, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures.2–4 years of experience in a finance-related role.Life at FlindersWe're transforming and investing in people and facilities to create contemporary, stimulating, and satisfying learning and work environments that reflect our core values of excellence, innovation, courage, and integrity.
