Send your responses toServices Australia is seeking to identify suitable Candidates to perform the role of BusinessAnalysts, Systems Analysts and Solution Design Managers up to manager levels to supportthe agency to document business requirements, capture business needs, and design, create,evaluate, and document ICT solutions in new and existing ICT systems.Business Analysts analyse and integrate information provided by customers, staff,Information Technology (IT) professionals, executives, and other internal and externalstakeholders. They are responsible for understanding the core needs and requirements ofstakeholders and the agency. Business Analysts often play a central role in aligning theneeds of business units with the capabilities delivered by IT or business activities and mayserve as a translator between stakeholder groups. Business Analysts exercise a degree ofindependent judgement and make decisions within defined parameters that rely on skills andknowledge.The level of Security Clearance required for a Role will be confirmed at the time of Contract.Job Title Director Business AnalystAPS Equivalent Level EL2Main Duties Duties may include, but not limited to, some or all of the following:clearly define and clarify business needs to create an action plan,solution report or business case for consideration of senior executivesunderstand stakeholder requirements and concerns to meet theirneeds in line with the agency's strategic direction and themesdetermine business analysis approaches that may include specifyingteam roles, deliverables, analysis techniques or stakeholdercommunicationidentify and recommend business improvements for consideration bysenior executives and coordinate the analysis, verification, andvalidation on the recommended improvementsincrease engagement with a range of key stakeholders to effectivelyunderstand cross business functionsfacilitate and lead communication across business units to representthe views of the agency at a range internal and external forums withvarious stakeholdersmanage, produce, and review business analyst artefacts anddocuments that may include risk analysis, scope modelling, problemtracking and sequence diagramsprepare, drive, and manage change management plans and/orcommunication plansdetermine, prepare, perform brainstorming, workshops, prototyping,observation, or interviews, and confirm or report on resultsoversee the development of strategic and business requirementdocumentation and ensure requirements are clearly understood byothersoversee and manage the development of strategic and businessrequirements dependencies and relationships, ensuring requirementsare clearly understooddefine the process that will be used to approve requirements forimplementation and manage change to the solutions or requirementsscopedetermine deliverables by considering a range or internal and externalfactorsconduct comprehensive risk analysis and problem tracking to mitigatepotential issuesmanage the performance of business analysis activities to ensure theyare executed as effectively as possible, including deciding on metricsto measure workdetermine business analyst deliverables, the scope of work for thebusiness analysis activities, resource allocation and estimates forbusiness analyst workidentify and define why a business change or capability is required forthe agency and/or conduct a capability gap analysisassess, validate, and report on solutions to determine how closely thesolution meets the agencys objectivesdevelop strategic plans for work area or team and consider work in thecontext of future strategic prioritiesMain skills/attributes Ability to:understand the audience and context, while anticipating responses to effectively tailor communication and communication styleperform high level research, complex analysis and problem solving to form defensible conclusions based on clear evidencedevelop and manage key strategic relationships with a broad range of internal and external key stakeholderscollaborate, negotiate, and influence stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes for work area and the agencyfacilitate a diverse range of groups, workshops, and meetingsmanage and resolve conflict using appropriate strategies, ensuring suitable outcomes for the parties involveddemonstrate high level system, strategic and lateral thinking with a cognitive viewmake balanced decisions using professional judgement in the context of a complex, ambiguous and changing environmentthink strategically, understand linkages and develop long term plansEvery application requires to address selection criteria as part of application submission.Please complete the below forms.
