We are recruiting a Supervisor on a casual basis working on the Marble Bar Road Upgrade. The project involves upgrading 92km of the Marble Bar Road to a two-lane sealed road.Scopes include widening of the carriageway, improving drainage and surfacing with a two-coat bituminous seal.The successful candidate must have a strong background working road construction projects to MRWA standards and specifications.The Role

Focusing on overall project objectives and communicating them to team members in accordance with Project Management Plans
Effective leadership of the construction team
Achieving daily productivity targets and monitoring project costs
Delivery of Daily Pre-starts, ensuring HSEQ standards are implemented, Ensuring Relevant Permits are in place, Daily Record Keeping and working with the team to deliver to the agreed programme
Promoting teamwork between all crew members & working with them to overcome challenges

Skills Required

5+ years of supervision experience within the civil construction industry
Experience on MRWA & Mining Civil works would be advantageous.
Demonstrated knowledge of road construction, including materials selection for construction
Strong understanding of shoulder widening, pavement construction, bituminous surfacing and asphalting processes and techniques
Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines
