ALS Geochemistry requires Laboratory Workers to join their laboratory team in Stafford, Brisbane.The role is an entry-level position with full training provided. With projected growth within the laboratory, the complexity of the position will increase with time.This is a casual role. However, you must be available to work 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday. The position requires flexibility to work both the Morning Shift (6:00 am to 2:15 pm) and the Afternoon Shift (2:15 pm to 10:15 pm). Please note that there will be instances where you may be required to work across both shifts within the same week. In addition, you will receive shift allowances of 15% for the afternoon shift.The day to day
- Working safely in the laboratory
- Weighing of samples according to various methods
- Developing an understanding of laboratory practice and scientific processes
- Performing test work and contributing to validating new methods
- Working in a team
- Exposure over time to more complex procedures involving chemical handling and instrumentation
- A genuine interest in the Science industry
- Ability to follow set procedures and attention to detail
- Have adequate numerical, verbal and written communication skills
- Highly task-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of effectively managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
