- Develop, implement, and maintain risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures based on regulatory requirements and industry standards, ensuring they are tailored to Mercer Super’s unique operating environment.
- Regularly review and update existing policies to reflect changes in legislation and emerging risks, ensuring all policies remain current and effectively communicated.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather input during policy development, facilitating workshops to ensure policies are clear and comprehensible for all levels of the organization.
- Maintain the Mercer Super Policy Register and manage the Policy Exemptions Register, ensuring all documentation is up to date and aligned with best practices.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the reputation of the Mercer Super Line 2 risk and compliance function as a center of excellence, fostering a proactive risk culture.
- Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.
- 3-5+ years of experience in risk policy development, preferably within the superannuation industry, with a proven track record in developing risk-related policy documents.
- In-depth understanding of risk management frameworks, procedures, and policies, with the ability to design comprehensive frameworks that comply with regulatory requirements.
- Strong collaborative skills, including experience hosting workshops to gather stakeholder input during policy development.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex risk policies in an understandable manner to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders to facilitate effective policy development and implementation.
