About the RoleBlack Star Pastry is thriving and we're looking for a qualified Pastry Chef to join our team, located at our St Kilda Production KitchenOur Service Chefs play a critical role in the final stage of production for our gorgeous cakes, cutting, creating garnishes, finishing and ensuring quality control of all products.This is casual or part-time opportunity with availability required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.About You

Previous experience in a Pastry Chef role.
Strong knife skills
Full understanding of how the role contributes to the success of the kitchen, including a focus on quality control and operational efficiencies.
Good working knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality industry.
Able to build effective and constructive relationships – a true team player!
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely.
Exceptional organisational skills.
Good judgement and confident to make informed decisions.
Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing business demands.
