The role is in a growth area within the city of Melbourne but is also on the urban fringe to regional Victoria and within driving distance to the beach, City, Coast, & Country. Access to great private and public schools, multiple universities within the region, access to activities that cater from young children to older people (walking sites, open range zoo, historical buildings and ethnically diverse restaurants)ABOUT THE ROLE:The SFVA uses their knowledge and expertise of the family violence sector to assist staff at MMH&WS to navigate the specialist family violence service systems, provide information on best practice and ensure that appropriate policy and governance frameworks are in place.ABOUT YOU:
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with successful completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or a Post graduate Psychiatric/mental health nursing qualification or
  • An approved degree in Psychology and registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist with endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist or
  • An approved degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist or
  • An approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers and
  • Formal qualification/ post graduate qualification in Family Violence.
  • Experience working in family violence with a sound knowledge of the clinical mental health sector
  • A current Victorian Driver’s License and ability to drive a work vehicle
