Full-time | Monday to Friday | 6am – 2pm
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business that is looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter or Machinery Technician to join their team.
This role is responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of machinery and equipment to keep operations running smoothly and downtime to a minimum.
The Role
- Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdown repairs on plant equipment
- Conducting inspections and tests to ensure machinery meets compliance and safety standards
- Monitoring equipment performance and identifying improvements
- Maintaining accurate records of parts, work orders and maintenance history
- Managing spare parts inventory and ensuring availability to support production
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and assisting with failure investigations
- Collaborating with other departments to meet operational goals
- Trade qualified in Mechanical, Fitting or Electrical (Electrical licence or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, cold chain and product handling (highly regarded)
- Safety focused with good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible to work overtime, weekends or be on-call if required (standard hours are Mon–Fri, 6am–2pm)
