This is your chance to be part of something groundbreaking!ACCIONA are now looking for a Communications Design Engineer to join the Design team. Reporting to the Design Director at our main office in Sydney CBD, this role will be a vital part of the team.Specific Tasks Include

Communication Network Design:

Design communication networks, including LANs, WANs, and other architectures.Proficiently select network topology, protocols, and technologies based on project requirements.

Protocols and Standards:

In-depth knowledge of communication protocols such as IP-MPLS, MPLS-TP, SDH, and other network layer protocols.Ensure compliance with industry standards for interoperability and regulatory requirements.

Cybersecurity Focus:

Implement cybersecurity principles in communication system design.Design secure systems with encryption, access controls, and other measures against unauthorized access and data breaches.

Scalability and Redundancy:

Design systems with scalability and redundancy in mind.Plan for future growth, ensuring networks can accommodate increased traffic and additional devices.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

Collaborate effectively with professionals from diverse disciplines.Translate project requirements, understand stakeholder needs, and integrate communication systems seamlessly.

Documentation and Execution:

Create designs and documentation using AutoCAD.Collaborate with drafters for timely execution and design verification of projects.

Leadership and Mentorship:

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to emerging engineers.Required Skills and Competencies

Bachelor’s/Master’s/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Proven experience in design for communication networks within the industry.
High attention to detail, time, and stakeholder management capabilities.
