Troocoo Government Tech are currently searching for an ICT Resource & Asset Management Advisor to join an established State Government Department. This is an initial 6-month contract (3-month extension), based in the CBD and paying $69.34 per hour plus super.The Role
As the ICT Resource & Asset Management Advisor you will:
  • Manage lifecycle for all Department managed assets (hardware, software, intellectual property, licenses, warranties etc), including ensuring assets are identified, controlled, managed and protected throughout its lifecycle, and reliable information about those assets are available when and where it is needed.
  • Monitor software licenses to ensure optimum/legal license utilisation and allocation and maintain tools for software distribution and installation.
  • Provide information and advice on issues such as maintenance of hardware assets, licensing of software, protection of intellectual property and legal obligations.
  • Provide financial management support by forecasting and monitoring payments to third party providers, preparing and monitoring purchase orders, invoice payments, and submissions of monthly accruals.
  • Monitor expenditure against year to date budget on a monthly basis for departmental expenditure across all IT-related costs.
  • Maintain the IT contract register and monitor actual expenditure against each contract payment schedules and escalate where misalignment to cash flows.
  • Maintain a review process to evaluate performance against IT contract key performance indicators and targets as outlined in the contract provisions, providing data and reports to senior managers and in support of monthly or quarterly performance review meetings with vendors.
Essential Requirements
To be successful within this position you would bring:
  • Knowledge and experience in using SAP as the financial management system and in software and hardware asset management tools/systems such as SAP or ServiceNow.
  • High level of analytical skills to provide strategic advice and options to the leadership team on financial and asset management matters.
  • High level of interpersonal skills that assist with the coordination and completion of tasks that require input and verification by a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff on all asset and license management matters, and with vendors to enable reporting and monitoring against agreed kpis.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply procurement, contract management, financial and asset management legislation, policies and/or procedures.
