Job Description:We are looking for a dedicated and methodical Archaeologist to join our research and field investigation team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about uncovering historical artifacts, analyzing cultural remains, and contributing to the understanding of ancient civilizations through fieldwork, research, and preservation efforts.Key Responsibilities:Conduct archaeological field surveys and excavations at designated sitesAnalyze and interpret artifacts, structures, and other cultural materialsUse GIS, mapping, and excavation tools to document and record findingsPrepare detailed reports, site plans, and academic papers for publication and presentationCollaborate with historians, geologists, and other researchers for interdisciplinary studiesEnsure compliance with heritage preservation laws and ethical excavation standardsSupervise field crews and manage excavation logisticsAssist in curating artifacts and coordinating with museums and conservation facilitiesEducate the public and stakeholders through tours, lectures, and exhibitionsStay updated with the latest archaeological research methods and technologiesRequirements:Bachelors or Masters degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related fieldField experience in excavation and survey projectsKnowledge of archaeological recording techniques and stratigraphyFamiliarity with carbon dating, soil analysis, and material classificationStrong research, writing, and analytical skillsAbility to work in remote or physically demanding environmentsExcellent organizational and team collaboration abilitiesExperience with heritage management and conservation practices is a plus
