
Customer Analyst - Retail Media - Hawthorn East

- Analyse campaign performance using observational and experimental measurement approaches, as well as statistical modelling.
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights to optimise future campaigns and drive sales growth.
- Develop insight into customer behaviour - identifying both success and pain points to uncover growth opportunities, assess the impact of existing actions, and provide strategic recommendations for future challenges.
- Create new ways to group, segment, and understand customers in terms of value, behaviour, and motivations, supporting more sophisticated targeting and engagement strategies in collaboration with campaign planners.
- Present findings and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders - from vendors to marketing teams and senior leaders.
- Manage relationships with internal and external partners to ensure high-quality measurement outcomes.
- Collaborate with business units to increase their connection with customers, building both customer and supplier capability in decision-making and process improvement.
- Champion data-informed decision-making across the business.
- 4+ years proven experience in marketing measurement, marketing effectiveness, media analytics, or a related analytical role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to segment, model, summarise, interpret, and communicate complex data sets in a simple way for non-technical audiences.
- Deep understanding of observational measurement, experimental design, and statistical modelling.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - you can work effectively with everyone from technical analysts to senior executives.
- Ability to integrate and interpret multiple data sources, including sales, financial, research, and product data.
- Demonstrated strategic mindset, able to move beyond facts and analysis to deliver actionable recommendations that improve how we reach, target, and engage customers.
- A self-starter mindset with the curiosity to dig deep, unpick problems, and independently find solutions.
- While not essential, familiarity with Python or R will be a bonus
- Experience using agency tools for analysis (e.g., Synergy, Roy Morgan, Quantium, Nielsen, Tableau) - not all required, but familiarity is advantageous.
