Reporting to the Sous Chef or Section Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in line with IHG policies, procedures, and Crowne Plaza Melbourne standards. You will take ownership of your designated kitchen section, ensuring every dish is delivered with excellence in both quality and presentation.Your day to day
- Prepare and present a wide variety of hot and cold dishes, including meats, seafood, vegetables, desserts, and pastries, while ensuring high standards of hygiene, quality, and presentation.
- Support kitchen operations by guiding kitchen attendants and cooks, maintaining a clean work area, attending team briefings and training, and ensuring readiness for service.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient workplace by following health, safety, and hygiene procedures, reporting hazards, and assisting in creating a positive and respectful team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.

- Certificate III of Commercial Cookery or equivalent relevant qualification.
