Senior Digital Content Officer (APS6) - GeelongAre you an experienced digital content professional ready to lead and innovate? We are seeking a Senior Digital Content Officer for our federal government client in the disability sector. This is a crucial 12-month assignment located in Geelong, with an excellent pay rate of $60.26 per hour plus super. This full-time role offers a hybrid working model. You will be instrumental in a major intranet redevelopment and be accountable for organizing workflow and making independent decisions. Your work will directly impact how the organization supports a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians.Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Content: Work closely with business areas to analyze, identify, and create intranet content. Ensure all content aligns with the agency's content strategy, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at an AA level, and plain English standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and manage key internal stakeholder relationships, addressing and resolving emerging challenges. You will deal with complex and contentious matters, requiring persuasion and sensitivity.
  • Performance & Optimization: Evaluate intranet performance for key internal audiences and recommend content optimizations based on research and analysis.
  • Leadership: Lead and support team members with administrative, technical, and procedural tasks. You will also be responsible for guiding, coaching, and mentoring staff.
  • Intranet Redevelopment: Lead and contribute to the ongoing intranet redevelopment project as required.

  • You are a professional with deep technical or management knowledge in a specialized area.
  • You are accountable for developing plans and objectives for short-term tasks and can contribute to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
  • You will work with a level of independence, exercising discretion and initiative over a broad area of activity.
  • Your decisions are based on sound judgment, expertise, and knowledge , and you can identify and manage risks within your area of responsibility.
