AIR6500 is the RAAF's $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.The Engineering Tools Group sits within the Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA) Engineering strategy and Technology Function as the team assisting Process Owners across the LMA business with the evaluation, coordination, procurement, trial, deployment, evolution, and maintenance of engineering tools to support and facilitate their processes in an integrated way.The team is responsible for integrating and configuring new and existing tools into tool suites that provide suitable processing solutions, and provides direction, support, and guidance on the application of the Function's mandated common tool suites for:
  • Implementing engineering tool requirements as directed by the E&T Tools Leads.
  • Deploying, maintaining and supporting 1LMX tool suite.
  • Designing, developing and improving the CI/CD processes.
  • Designing, developing and automating various internal processes.
  • Guiding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for the environment, primarily the promotion and deployment of code through the SDLC.
About you:
  • Knowledge and experience with Version/Artifact control tools such as GitLab/Nexus.
  • Knowledge and experience with Build and continuous integration tools such as Gitlab.
  • Knowledge and experience with Issue tracking and review tools such as Jira.
  • Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Packer.
  • Knowledge and experience with automation tools and scripting.
  • Knowledge and experience with the use of Linux Operating System.
  • Knowledge and experience with MBSE tools such as IBM Jazz. - desirable
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Sharepoint. • Knowledge and experience with API technologies and Web Services like Rest, SOAP, XML/JSON. - desirable
  • Knowledge and experience with Containerisation/Orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. - desirable
  • Knowledge and experience with Virtualisation platforms such as VMWare vSphere and Horizon. - desirable

  • Contribute to the building of CI/CD and DevSecOps infrastructure to support automated testing and deployment for various projects.
  • Contribute to automation of software builds and build checkout testing and informal system integration activities.
  • Contribute to automation and maintenance of the software build status for operational and test releases.
  • Contribute to automation and maintenance of business processes.
  • Contribute to Monitor and maintain the health of supporting DevSecOps infrastructure like container orchestration, build agents, monitoring tools and dashboards.
  • Contribute to the administration and maintenance of DevSecOps tools.
  • Assist with supporting implementation of defined best practices for source control, continuous integration, and release management.
  • Work with developers to identify, debug, and resolve build or deployment issues.
  • Other duties as directed by the Tasking Supervisor.
