We listen and understand the specific needs of our clients and deliver a complete value chain of services to provide sustainable solutions across major infrastructure projects worldwide.The roleWe are currently seeking Civil Engineers to work closely with our other specialists to deliver major Transport projects. You will be responsible for the detailed design of delegated projects and work packages within the Transport function. This is a Perth based role that will cater for projects locally and assist on major national projects.With 3+ year’s commercial experience in civil design, you will play a key role in: -

Providing expert advice and demonstrating advanced technical skills producing civil designs across transport projects (Road / Drainage / Pavements…)
Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
Proactively collaborating with appropriate team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables
Actively contribute to the commercial success of projects and the team
Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner

With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.Suitable applicants will have:

Local experience successfully delivering road design projects will be highly regarded.
An Engineering Degree.
Experience contributing to infrastructure projects of

$1m successfully to budget and client specifications. * Experience in the co-ordination, design and delivery of road/drainage/pavement designs within multi-disciplinary engineering projects.

High level communication skills to advise and guide project design development in a pro-active manner and to represent the SMEC design team as a valuable contributor to the project.
