What you'll be doingThis position provided general administrative support to the Department of Clinical Immunology & Allergy and the Department of Genetic Medicine. This position plays a significant part in the co-ordination of the operations of the two departments, including but not limited to management of patient referrals & appointments, storage of patient files, reporting, billing and secretarial duties.Additionally, due to the nature of these two departments, this position will be required to work closely with NSW Health Pathology to co-ordinate patient care.People with disabilities who meet the selection criteria are encouraged to apply; and where required, WSLHD will implement reasonable adjustment consistent with industry standard.Stepping Up aims to assist Aboriginal job applicants by providing information about applying for roles in NSW Health organisations.   • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proven high level organisational skills including the ability to problem solve, prioritise workload, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidentiality, to interpret complex information and advice and use discretion in knowing when to escalate matters of importance and/or urgency.
  • Experience in various word processing, desktop, publishing and database/spread sheet software, including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel and experience using iPM, KRONOS, HPE, Oracle, and billing applications (PBRC, Ezymed)
  • Demonstrated experience in working with multi-functional teams preferably within a health setting.
