About the RoleYou will be working as a Grade 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologist in both the general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT departments at SVHM. We are committed to providing training and education, and offer regular continuing professional development for staff.
  • Under the direction of the senior Nuclear Medicine Technologists, you will provide quality Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations in a safe environment.
  • Excellent technical and clinical skills in the full range of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations.
  • Experience in the preparation, handling and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT
Classifications for this position will range from classification range CJ7 – CT7 ($- $per annum).Your Contribution
  • Bachelor of Applied Science / Medical Radiations in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent
  • Current Medical Radiation Practitioner registration with AHPRA to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Radiation use licence issued by the Department of Health
  • Ability to perform diagnostic CT within the hybrid imaging environment
  • Experience sufficient to permit eligibility for accreditation by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM)
  • Current National criminal history check, or willingness to obtain

About Nuclear Medicine and PETThe Nuclear Medicine and PET departments at St Vincents Hospital Melbourne offer a full range of both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. We are equipped with 4 gamma cameras (2 in the public Medical Imaging department and 2 in St Vincents Private Radiology) and a PET/CT scanner. The successful candidate for this role will be required to work in Nuclear Medicine and PET.Working at St Vincent’s
