Start Date: ImmediatelyIn this position, reporting to the Team Lead Rigger, you will be a key player within a Team that install, maintain, and repair external telecommunications equipment. This includes working at heights and following client specifications, standards, and safety guidelines.Key Responsibilities Include:
- Experience with VHA/TPG specifications, standards and HSE guidelines
- Able to interpret technical design documents (i.e. steelwork assembly & plumbing diagrams) and install equipment as per design. Proven competence in troubleshooting
- Experience working on Telstra, VHA/TPG and Optus (4G/5G)
- Experience working with Huawei/Ericsson/Nokia equipment
- Installation of pole & tower structures, mounting steelwork, RRU's, antennas/feeders/hybrids on towers/rooftops, terminating/re-termination of cables.
- Installation of earthing and labelling following client's specification
- Maintenance, upgrades and strengthening of structures
- Perform testing using PIM tester, spectrum analyser and site master
- Perform testing with Fibrescope and light source on fibre cables
- Assist Technicians in undertaking installation, fault-finding and rectification of all equipment
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience within the Telecommunication industry
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements and responsibilities - including SWMS, MOP, JSA's
- Excellent written & oral communications skills
- Demonstrated experience working on guyed mast, tower and monopole construction projects
- Experience reading, interpreting and providing advice with plans and design drawings
- Appropriately skilled with MS applications including excel and word
- Must be permitted to work in Australia
