About the roleIf you have an interest in mechanical machinery, gearboxes, diesel and petrol engines and hydraulics, Bunge has an exciting opportunity for a motivated first year mechanical apprentice to join us in embarking on a 4-year apprenticeship in a leading agribusiness.You will join a busy and experienced maintenance team and will be supported as you learn all aspects of the mechanical trade while gaining a sound understanding of the agricultural industry. This is a hands-on role where you will have increasing responsibility as you progress through your training.As an apprentice, you will receive paid formal training delivered by an approved Registered Training Organisation, which will lead to a nationally recognised qualification. You will also have access to genuine career opportunities.Duties
  • Assisting maintenance mechanical fitters to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on stationary plant (conveyors, bucket elevators, generators) and mobile plant (angers, REMs, tarp presses, generator, Hildabuilts, trailers, MFROs)
  • Maintaining onsite workshops and storeroom parts
  • Conducting weekly EPA magnahelix checks on dust plants
  • Listening to and understanding customer requirements
  • Attending TAFE classes
About you
  • Sound knowledge of mathematics and/or completion of an appropriate pre-vocational course
  • A current drivers licence
  • A motivated team player with a can do attitude and ability to work independently;
  • Enjoys taking on varied tasks across the work day or work week
  • Able to undertake Formal training at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
