
Administration Officer - Elective Surgical Information System

- Verify and update patient information, including Medicare and private insurance details, in line with Grampians Health policies.
- Maintain accurate data entry within the Elective Surgery Information System (ESIS) and apply relevant access policies.
- Liaise with patients to complete required documentation and ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support efficient and consistent data processes.
- Coordinate and distribute documentation from surgeons and Visiting
- Medical Officers in a timely manner.
- Strong customer service background with experience in administration, reception, and admissions, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- High computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with clinical systems such as iPM and OPAL.
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
- Understanding of confidentiality, patient rights, and medical terminology.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work both independently and within a team under pressure.
