In this way, it offers a wide range of services throughout the value chain of projects, adapted to each sector and to the scope of the contract required by our clients, both public and private.Cobra is divided into four main sectors of activity, Networks, Specialised installations, integrated projects and concession assets.ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed preferred network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission line network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV) is the design and construction contractor for ACEREZ.The Central-West Orana Transmission Project will provide new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.LocationThe successful candidate will be based in Sydney and will be required to work out of our Sydney Office in the CBD Monday to Friday.About the RoleThe IT and Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the OT compute, networking and supporting applications to ensure the safe and reliable operation of all OT Application (e.g. EMS, SCADA) as well as their adherence to cybersecurity principles, best practices and regulations (e.g. SOCI, AESCSF, IEC 62443). This role involves leading technical projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, clients and vendors to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Hyper-Converged Infrastructure

Design and review HCI architecture
Configure and review Hypervisor and Hardware configurations
Hypervisor and server configuration and lifecycle management

Operational Technology LAN

Design and review OT LAN architecture and configuration
Understand configuration parameters of networking equipment and ability to configure per application requirements

Supporting Application Management

Design and review configuration and setup of system supporting applications and solutions such as: Active Directory, Endpoint Detection and Response, Vulnerability Management, Privileged Access Management, Logging and Alerting, Network Performance Management, Patching, Backups, Managed File Transfer

Cybersecurity Management

Ensuring design of the solution adheres to cybersecurity best practices
Enduring design of the solution adheres to federal cybersecurity requirements (AESCSF, SOCI)

Required Skills and Competencies

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mentioned or a related field
Proven experience delivering operational technology projects
Bachelor’s degree in software/IT or cybersecurity engineering or a related field recognized by Engineers Australia for professional accreditation
Designing, Deploying and operating Nutanix AHV (NCP-MCI Certification Preferred)
Relevant Microsoft Certifications e.g., AZ-800
Demonstrated knowledge of Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity frameworks
Strong experience with SIEM and log management
Familiarity with Microsoft security stack, particularly Windows Defender
Practical experience deploying Veeam and other Backup software
