- The leadership and implementation of the local and integrated quality, improvement and patient safety program, consistent with the organisational needs of Hospitals South and in keeping with contemporary practice.
- High level leadership and management of the change and improvement agenda, supporting the local management team to achieve measurable improvements in the performance of processes they are accountable for.
- Supporting the Organisation in achieving accreditation under the national safety and quality standards.
- Promote a positive workplace culture that values respect, inclusion, and teamwork
- Work with the departments and craft groups, to contribute to service development and innovation across the organisation
- Attend relevant training, supervision, and professional development activities
- Support continuous quality improvement and safety programs across the hospital
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective health systems and models of care
- Support the health system to provide high-quality, patient-centred care in alignment with RHH's clinical standards
- Support and contribute to clinical teaching and research initiatives, where applicable, with the University of Tasmania
- Extensive experience in quality improvement, patient safety and risk management in a health care setting with the ability to design, implement and evaluate holistic improvements.
- Comprehensive and current knowledge of, and high-level experience in, the health industry generally with significant experience working with a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Comprehensive and current knowledge of the relevant industry quality and safety standards and high-level experience in the application of these standards.

- Clinical registration and/or health service management experience
- Extensive experience managing and leading a complex team
- Extensive experience and / or certification in Quality Improvement and/ or Accreditation
- Professional qualifications and experience relevant to industry quality and safety standards
- Current Driver's Licence
