We have established an inclusive culture, where everyone contributes, has the chance to develop and display their talents in solving challenging client problems.Does this sound like you?As a Manager for our ANZ Business, you will be responsible for leveraging your leadership and consulting skills to enhance our impact on client engagements, aimed at leading teams and project portfolios identifying, designing and implementing effective solutions across a broad range of technical expertise. Your dedicated focus on team development and identifying growth opportunities will be important aspects of your role.You will create an impact on client engagements by:
  • Leading and delivering projects that solve complex real-world challenges including diagnostics, solution design, implementation and coaching for sustainability.
  • Guiding team analysis, and using your experience, to identify insights that inform focus areas for improvement.
  • Leveraging your ability to foster good client relationships, deliver quality outcomes and effectively manage project schedules, resourcing and scope.
  • Independently managing end-to-end project portfolios, identifying areas of improvement of new processes and designing and implementing effective solutions within the business.
  • Independently undertaking and leading teams to perform analysis, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of results, and preparation of recommendations to be used in client engagements and business development.
  • Engaging clients across scoping, diagnostic review, proposal preparation, project management and implementation at their sites, whilst leveraging internal dss+ skills.
  • Possessing strong industry knowledge and staying abreast with current trends, pricing and new technology related to industry or technical practice.
  • Managing project governance processes to ensure effective progress schedule attainment, risk mitigation, profitability and delivering fit-for-purpose solutions for clients.
  • Working closely with other practices, industries, and markets peers in delivering and co-delivering project portfolios.
  • Acting as key account holders and maintaining effective client relationships.
Internally, you will be involved in:
  • Building effective working relationships regionally and participating in global technical communities to ensure a strong network of resources, alongside possessing a network of regional contacts.
  • Contributing to the development and/or enhancement of existing dss+ IP and engaging with functional/ industry peers to support continued methodology development.
  • Participating and contributing to functional and/or industry networks with the aim of developing and sharing best practices, developing and enhancing dss+ intellectual property and sharing thought leadership.
  • Collaborating with peers to identify and progress opportunities with new and existing clients.

  • You are able to demonstrate high levels of proficiency with Operational Risk Management methodologies such as operational improvement, maintenance and reliability best practices, cost reduction, production improvement, full potential diagnostics, Management Operating Systems reviews, etc.
  • You also have proficiency with Operational Risk Management methodologies, such as workplace or process safety, mechanical integrity, operational risk management, safety culture transformation, etc.

To be successful in this position, you would bring the following qualifications and experience:
  • To be a Manager with dss+, you will have at least 10 years of client-facing management consulting or industry experience. Having worked in, or delivered projects to Oil & Gas, Mining, Metals, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or Private Equity industries would be to your advantage.
  • A graduate from a top-tier university with a degree in a business-related major (i.e., management or finance) or engineering. A post-graduate qualification will be beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex projects and stakeholder interactions and provide fit-for-purpose recommendations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and team working attitude, to be able to lead multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • High level of proficiency with PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Advanced Excel, Access, and ideally visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
