Alder Group proudly celebrated 22 years in 2025 — bringing engineering and construction teams together under one roof to deliver building, civil, and infrastructure projects.We have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join our well-established Asset Renewal team. The successful candidate will play a key role in our project development and lead bid preparations for tenders across the beautiful Gold Coast, Brisbane & Northern NSW.Our Asset Renewal team handles a variety of projects valued between $500k and $10m, including cladding, façade renewals, podium refurbishments, concrete repairs, structural steel repairs, and bespoke high-rise repairs. No two projects are ever the same!The team you would be joining is a group of hardworking, motivated individuals who pride themselves on their successful track record of tendering and delivering high-quality construction projects.   • Manage pricing for tender submissions across various commercial projects.
  • Collaborate with other senior team members to secure future work opportunities.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor pricing.
  • Offer estimating advice and compare costs for alternatives and innovative construction methods.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within design and tender documents.
  • Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and the supply chain to build strong relationships.
  • Mentor and contribute to the development of junior team members.

About You - Skills and Experience
  • Extensive computer skills.
  • Estimating experience in the Building industry (Qld & NSW) would be advantageous, and Civil or Structural experience would also be highly regarded in this role.
  • Can work successfully in a team — our company culture is a key part of our success.
  • Are a natural problem solver who enjoys planning and troubleshooting.
  • Be innovative and creative to achieve competitive tender outcomes.
