As cancer survival outcomes continue to improve, more people will require ongoing support and long-term care. Cancer survivors are at increased risk for serious long-term morbidity related to the adverse physical, psycho-social and economic burden of cancer and cancer treatment, for a significant period of time beyond diagnosis and treatment.The Prince of Wales Hospital Cancer Survivorship Program supports people living with and beyond cancer. The service includes an Oncology Specialist, Exercise Physiologist, Dietitian and Psychologist. The multidisciplinary team meet weekly and provide clinics to support patients in recovering from cancer treatment and attaining healthy lifestyles and general well-being.The Cancer Survivorship Dietitian works closely with the multidisciplinary team and is responsible for providing individualised dietetic assessment and advice to patients living with and beyond cancer. They support patients in management of common dietary concerns faced by cancer survivors, such as reducing risk of cancer recurrence, managing fatigue, and optimising cardiovascular and bone health.Where you'll be workingThe Nutrition and Dietetics team comprises nineteen dedicated dietitians ranging from new graduate to experienced clinical specialists. As a team we are committed to ensure that the nutrition care of patients and clients are at the forefront of service delivery.The POWH is a quaternary referral and teaching hospital - a great place to develop your career. It is located in Randwick, in Sydney's eastern suburbs. The hospital is undergoing redevelopment and has just opened a new acute services building. The hospital is accessible via a light rail service which stops right outside the main entrance, along with a range of bus services.Selection CriteriaTo be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award
Extensive post graduate clinical experience in Nutrition and Dietetics
Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels
Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature
Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
