- Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively with external partners to ensure students on placement are receiving appropriate training experiences.
- Develop new external relationships to grow the number of opportunities for Psychology master's students and psychological services for the Tasmanian community.
- Collaborate closely between the Director of the University Psychology Clinic, Director of Postgraduate Professional Training Programs and external stakeholders to manage all risks associated with student placements, including reputational, health, safety, quality and sustainability risks.
- Undertake contemporary scholarly postgraduate (and where required, undergraduate) coursework teaching of a high quality.
- A PhD in Psychology or equivalent (for example, Master of Clinical and/or Educational and Developmental Psychology with practice and supervision experience).
- Ability to develop and implement skills in scholarly and innovative approaches to university-level teaching and learning in postgraduate Psychology.
- Current registration as a Psychologist in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and Clinical and/or Educational and Developmental Psychology Area of Practice Endorsement with no conditions, undertakings or reprimands
- Current Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor Status (or eligibility to obtain this qualification), with approval to supervise provisional psychologists during an accredited higher degree program.
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply, Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accreditation standards to curriculum development and implementation
