- Maintain and enhance Bank Australia's compliance framework, ensuring alignment with laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Support first line teams with compliance tools, training, and monitoring adherence to obligations
- Provide compliance reporting to senior leaders and the Board Risk Committee
- Oversee regulatory engagement and reporting, including ATO, ABA, COBA, BCCC, and privacy obligations
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on policies, operations, and services
- Lead investigations and reporting of compliance breaches, complaints, and incidents
- Maintain the Compliance Monitoring Plan and support business units with specialist compliance advice
- Oversee culture risk reporting and APS 910 attestation processes
- Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, accounting or risk management, with experience in retail banking and team leadership
- Strong knowledge of compliance obligations across AFSL, ACL, AML/CTF, Privacy Act, and prudential standards
- Experience engaging with regulators (ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC, OAIC) and managing compliance frameworks
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyse trends, assess risks, and provide timely, practical compliance advice
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ethical standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
