- Assess and anticipate deliverables, prepare budgets and schedules, and communicate resource requirements to senior management.
- Represent CoolSys Energy Design in project meetings covering technical issues, including meetings with utilities, owners, contractors, construction subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Maintain responsible control over all design activities pertaining to the project, including engineering, quality control, and code compliance.
- Perform site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolve design issues during the construction phase.
- Document production of small and large projects.
- Participate in conceptual design for specific projects.
- Prepare and create detailed engineering designs for a variety of building projects.
- Create and maintain Revit and AutoCAD drawing packages.
- Comply with project schedules, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Ensure work is executed accurately and in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure that design calculations and engineering drawings are constructible, comply with code, and meet customer quality requirements and company standards.
- Manage, assign/prioritize workloads, and provide leadership to junior engineers Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.
- 10+ or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD required.
- Previous experience managing staff is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, as well as demonstrated high-quality technical writing skills.
- Team player with sound business ethics and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to achieve project goals and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors to develop a full understanding of building energy systems and their operation.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- This position will require minimal travel to project sites. Join Us:
