- Teach English across secondary year levels using varied and effective strategies that meet the diverse needs of students
- Deliver Christian Living classes aligned with SCEA’s Biblical Foundations Framework
- Develop, review, and implement engaging programs and assessments
- Use data to monitor, assess, and report on student progress
- Support students through differentiated instruction, remediation, and extension
- Foster strong relationships with students through active pastoral care
- Engage in regular communication with parents through diaries, interviews, and reports
- Participate in school life, including sports carnivals, House activities, and fellowship events
- Fulfil additional duties such as yard supervision, relief teaching, and school functions
- Model and promote Christian character in all interactions
- A personal Christian faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, actively expressed through regular church attendance
- Agreement with SCEA's Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of Belief, and Educational Objectives, and a lifestyle that reflects these convictions
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching both ATAR and General English
- Passion for pastoral care and the development of the whole child
- Strong team orientation and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative staff culture
- Effective communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents
- A willingness to contribute to the broader life and mission of the School
- TRBWA registration and a current Working with Children Check
