Hastings Deering are recruiting for an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. Based in Archerfield (Brisbane), this is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday role.You will be required to manage to manage budgets, forecasts and management reporting for all Hastings Deering related entities. The role will also be required to introduce and enhance commercial focus, business planning processes and operating systems related to the development of simple, standardised and sustainable business processes and reports.Your duties will include:
- Lead development of 5-year plans and annual forecasts in collaboration with business leaders.
- Manage budgeting processes, review sessions, and timely submissions to stakeholders.
- Oversee month-end reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow) with variance and trend analysis.
- Deliver insightful management reports to executive teams (ELT/OLT).
- Analyse financial and operational trends to support strategic decisions.
- Drive benchmarking, continuous improvement, and change initiatives.
- Provide commercial insight, strategic recommendations, and leadership coaching.
- Identify growth opportunities and cost-saving strategies.
- Mentor FP&A analysts and optimise financial planning processes.
- Proven experience in professional accounting with strong commercial insight
- Skilled in business analysis and aligning financial insights with strategic goals
- Confident communicator with excellent report writing and storytelling skills
- Innovative problem-solver with a proactive mindset
- Quick to grasp complex systems, processes, and business requirements
