Our client are a leading manufacturer of main storage batteries for international defence vessels and have a very exciting upcoming opportunity for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Fitter. Based at their Osborne site, this position will see you joining and working with a motivated, close-knit team in general and preventative maintenance within their brand-new facility.Known for their state-of-the-art facilities, they are an international success story within the Defence Manufacturing Industry, with their company culture being a testament to their on-going success. In this role, you will be offered a 40-hour working week and be supplied with workwear, PPE and daily laundry services.Duties will include but are not limited to:

General and preventative maintenance to machinery with a small portion of electrical work
Basic use of power tools and fabrication
Liaising with supervisors & team leaders to resolve problems

Successful applicants will possess some or all of the following:

Certificate 3 in Mechanical Engineering or higher
Proven experience in a similar role
Ability to work in a team and unattended
Current Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical + Drug and Alcohol Assessment
