How will I help?The Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) is looking for a motivated and experienced Trade Finance professional to join our Corporate and Institutional Bank's (CIB) debt product team. In this client-facing role, you will support the domestic and international trade needs through our comprehensive documentary, structured trade and supply chain financing solutions. Our solutions aim to optimise cash flow, manage risk and unlock working capital throughout our customers' supply chain. The Trade Finance products are distributed to CIB and Business Division clients, across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.You will collaborate and create sustainable relationships with senior debt product colleagues, internal coverage, analyst, and legal departments in order to provide the highest level of service to our valued clients. You will also identify prospective Trade Finance opportunities with customers that lead to new business, including preparation of marketing materials and terms sheet.You will also:
  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of clients of existing clients while also pursuing new to bank business.
  • Provide independent risk analysis and writing up credit submissions for the Trade Finance product.
  • Document negotiation and execution, completing settlement activities; negotiating with customers about modifications and extensions of Trade Finance facilities.
  • Identification of both financial and non-financial risk related issues and incidents across the Trade Finance portfolio.
  • Contribute to the development of new applications in structured finance to pitch to our corporate and institutional banking customers.
