- The Mental Health Clinician will lead the Zero Suicide initiative for Bundaberg and Rural Mental Health Services. They will provide clinical experience, leadership, and educational opportunities to embed a suicide prevention clinical pathway across the Wide Bay Mental Health Services.
- The Mental Health Clinician plays a key role in the Suicide Prevention Pathway, conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments, collaboratively developing safety plans, and ensuring coordinated care with the broader mental health team, and Non-government Organisations. This position requires advanced clinical skills, compassionate communication, and a strong commitment to early intervention during periods of heightened vulnerability.
- Provide clinical leadership to high-risk consumers identified in the Bundaberg Base Hospital Department of Emergency within 24 hours of presentation, and within 1-7 days post discharge from high-risk periods of contact with the HHS.
