A new exciting opportunity has arisen to play a key role within a Day Oncology Ward as a Nurse Unit Manager a private hospital in Melbourne. This role offers great opportunities for both professional development and a fulfilling work experience.ROLE OVERVIEWYou will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their care.
  • The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the Oncology Ward to complement the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients;
  • You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based;
  • As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Working with Children check;
  • Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent (min. 3 years);
  • Compliance with ACSQHC National standards;
  • A strong commitment to developing in a management role;
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases;
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment;
  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills;
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management;
  • Demonstrated HR management experience.
