The successful candidate will be ideally based from our Melbourne office.EnergyOur Energy team helps clients maintain secure and reliable power supplies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver future energy schemes to help our cities transition to a more sustainable world. Our team has expertise in solar, wind, hydropower, thermal energy, waste-to-energy and bioenergy, battery storage, network distribution and systems and automation.What you'll do:
  • Collaborate on the technical design and delivery of projects,
  • Lead a team of Wind Engineers within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver wind pre-construction and operational energy yield assessments, technical due diligence, power curve verification, and independent engineering for utility scale wind projects.
  • Provide the technical leadership of Wind engineering as a subject matter expert.
  • Lead the scope and budget development in response to client needs and objectives,
  • Interface with internal/external stakeholders to:
  • Allocate resources,
  • Track budgets,
  • Assist with material requisitions,
  • Approve vendor requirements and procurement,
  • Contribute to the broader team effort of business development including the participation in project proposals,
  • Adopt an autonomous working style within a multi-disciplined engineering environment,
  • Undertake site visits and field investigations when required.
About you:
  • Hold a relevant engineering degree from a recognised institution,
  • Hold or have eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia,
  • Extensive experience within a Senior Wind Engineer or similar role, ideally within a consultancy,
  • Proven ability to lead a successful team,
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Possess strong analytical skills, report writing and broad experience with all wind engineering tools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant IEC standards.
