The Company:An award-winning residential and commercial modular construction company currently experiencing rapid growth are looking to hire a senior estimator to join their growing estimating team.The business has very exciting growth plans in the upcoming 12 months and beyond to double its current $50m annual turnover and is looking for a new senior estimator to be a part of that strong growth plan.This role is critical in ensuring that the company's projects are profitable and delivered on time and within budget, supporting the company's strong reputation for excellence in the construction industry.Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for modular home projects, covering off-site manufacturing, transportation, and on-site installation.
Analyse architectural designs, engineering drawings, and modular construction specifications to produce accurate quantity take-offs and pricing.
Collaborate with in-house design, production, and project management teams to ensure estimates reflect modular construction methods and factory efficiencies.
Source and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers for both factory-built modules and site works.
Prepare budgets, tender submissions, and variation estimates that account for modular construction timelines and logistics.
Monitor and update cost databases, factoring in unique modular construction materials, prefabrication costs, and transport logistics.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through modular-specific value engineering and process optimisation.
Assess and manage risks specific to modular building, including transport, cranage, and site assembly.
Ensure compliance with building codes, modular construction standards, and client specifications.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes tailored to modular home construction.

Role Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience within the home building industry is essential and required as a minimum
It is highly advantageous to have previous experience estimating within the modular construction industry
Proven time management and organisational skills
Advanced estimating software experience required
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
Ability to learn new systems and software
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
