36 bed ED - increasing from 18
Three state-of-the-art resuscitation bays
A Behavioural Assessment room, mental health consult spaces, forensic room
Two negative pressure isolation cubicles
Nine additional acute care cubicles
A dedicated Fast Track area with seven cubicles and a consultation room
A dedicated paediatric area with three cubicles and a consultation room
A nine bed Short Stay Unit, including one isolation room
A CT scan room, ultrasound room and two new X-Ray rooms

Follow the link to find out what its like to live, work and play in our wonderful region:About the roleWe are looking for Registered Nurses with greater than two years of acute nursing experience to commence your ED career, for ED experienced nurses to develop into more senior roles, and for post-graduate ED and Critical Care qualified nurses to further develop your career.GV Health offers Registered Nurses the opportunity to develop as Emergency Nurses, at different stages of their careers, in a team setting with structured induction, support and development. Nurses without a post graduate ED or Critical Care qualification would be asked to commit to this pathway in the future.Several roles are available now, both full-time and permanent part-time. The position includes rotations to all shifts and days of the week, including weekends and night duty.We are looking for:

Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
More than two years' recent experience as an RN at the time of commencement, with experience in ED, critical or acute care areas
Demonstrated teamwork and the maintenance of a supportive work environment
Self-motivated with a sound level of communication, organisational and time management skills

Desirable criteria:

Experience in Emergency Department Nursing.
Post-Graduate qualification in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing.
