  • Week 1: Monday - Wednesday (11.00am - 7.30pm) & Saturday - Sunday (9.30am - 6.00pm)
  • Week 2: Monday - Tuesday (11.00am - 7.30pm) & Saturday - Sunday (9.30am - 6.00pm)
Working in the Kookaburra ward, you will be responsbile for providing indirect patient care, contributing to the maintenance of a welcoming, clean environment for all and supporting the clinical areas through the delivery of equipment and cleaning services.Reporting to the Support Services Coordinator and the Nurse In Charge, you will maintain a clean and safe environment within the unit and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of unit equipment. You will also be aware of requirements to ensure that practice is consistent with Infection Control guidelines, policy and according to Cleaning Standards for Victorian Health Facilities.Your well-developed written and verbal communication skills combined with your interpersonal skills will provide you with the ability to work within a team environment in varying locations throughout the hospital. Your customer focus attention to detail will enable you to provide a high-level service to patients, families and colleagues.Your Skills and Experience:
  • Certificate III in Health Service Assistant (PSA)
  • Previous experience as a PSA is desirable
  • Well-developed communication skills

  • Employees are required to undertake a National Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment
  • Employees are required to maintain a valid Working with Children Check throughout their employment
  • A current, full driver's licence for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven, and comply with any restrictions on their licence (e.g. wearing glasses) while undertaking hospital duties (If applicable)
  • Employees are required to maintain compliance with RCHs “Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure.
