About the roleThis position is responsible for providing engineering and technical expertise and support to the maintenance and production department, to ensure continuous improvement practices and procedures are implemented and maintained across safety, quality, environmental performance, reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing operations in the business and proejcts.Duties
  • Being at the forefront of preventive maintenance regimes to reduce downtime.
  • Analysing plant designs and installations.
  • Plant reliability: Responsible for the overall system and sub-systems engineering design and maintenance for equipment associated with the plant.
  • Providing ongoing technical advice and support to improve reliability, by troubleshooting / diagnosing faults, root cause analysis and design reviews and modifications to reduce machine downtime
  • Providing solutions to minimise ad mitigate risk
  • Support In projects across WA and ensure its in line with project schedule and plan as well as budgets
  • Oversee and review technical drawings to ensure that compliant with company and Australian standards
  • Manage critical spares required for maintenance or breakdowns
  • Delegate tasks and liaise with different facets of the business
  • Support in training and mentoring
  • Constantly strive for continuous improvements across the business
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role - Essential
  • Experience working within a manufacturing company / mining equipment
  • Ability to prepare, read and interpret drawings and technical work conditions.
  • Project management skills and exceptional stakeholder engagement
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Competent at Identifying complex problems and provide solutions
Required
  • Australian recognised Engineering degree
  • Minimum of 4 years industry experience
  • Condition monitoring and preventative maintenance experience - Essential
  • Adept in Mechanical/ Industrial engineering principles and procedures and design codes
  • Quality Control and Quality assurance systems, techniques experience
  • Understanding of Process Control Design
  • Industrial design including CAD
  • Australian industry knowledge
  • Full Australian Working Rights
