Our client is a highly regarded commercial law firm with a strong reputation in the property space, seeking a capable and driven paralegal to support their busy Melbourne Property team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a standout opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and enjoys managing a wide range of matters, from residential and commercial sales to off-the-plan and mortgagee transactions.The OpportunityYou'll work closely with two esteemed partners and a collaborative team of experienced lawyers, gaining exposure to a broad and interesting mix of files. Your day-to-day will include:
- Drafting and preparing contracts for sale and vendor's statements
- Coordinating settlements (including bulk off-the-plan settlements)
- Drafting statements of adjustments
- Liaising with agents, clients, solicitors and external conveyancers
- Managing document preparation and file administration
- Handling time entry and electronic billing processes
- Solid experience as a conveyancer in a commercial property practice, including exposure to off-the-plan developments
- A sound understanding of conveyancing procedures and regulatory issues relating to foreign investment and off-the-plan contracts
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; experience with FileSite or similar DMS
- A proactive, team-focused attitude and excellent communication skills
